# MDSyntax — sample files for App Review

Open any file in this folder with **File → Open** (or drag it onto the window).
Every feature named in the App Store description is exercised by at least one
file below, so this folder is enough to review the whole app.

| Open this | To verify |
| --- | --- |
| `01-markdown-showcase.md` | Markdown rendering, live preview, tables, task lists, footnotes, alert callouts |
| `02-math.md` | KaTeX math — inline `$…$` and display `$$…$$` |
| `03-diagrams.md` | Mermaid flowchart, sequence diagram and Gantt chart |
| `04-graphviz.md` | GraphViz `dot` rendering |
| `05-code.ts` | TypeScript syntax highlighting and the editor (undo, multi-cursor, bracket matching) |
| `06-code.py` | Python syntax highlighting — one of ~190 supported languages |
| `07-config.yaml` | Config-file highlighting |
| `08-data.json` | JSON highlighting |
| `09-page.html` | HTML files rendering as pages, not raw text |
| `10-diagram.svg` | SVG rendering, plus source view |
| `11-image.png` | Image viewing with fit and zoom, and the pencil annotation tool |
| `12-ai-transcript.jsonl` | Exported AI conversations rendered as a readable transcript |
| `batch/` (3 files) | Batch export across a folder, and the watched-folder Library |

## Suggested five-minute pass

1. Open `01-markdown-showcase.md`. The preview renders beside the source; typing
in the source updates it live.
2. Open `02-math.md`, `03-diagrams.md` and `04-graphviz.md` to confirm math and
diagrams render inside the app. Nothing is sent over the network to do this.
3. With `01-markdown-showcase.md` open, use **Export → PDF** and **Export → Word**.
   Both work with no purchase.
4. Open `09-page.html` and `10-diagram.svg` — these render as a page and a
drawing rather than as source. Use **View → Source** to see the text behind them.
5. Open `11-image.png` and try the pencil tool in the toolbar.
6. Open `12-ai-transcript.jsonl` — it is detected as a conversation and laid out
   as turns.

## The paid features

MDSyntax has **no sign-in and no account system** — nothing here needs credentials.

Four features are behind the in-app purchase
(`com.lippertohana.mdsyntax.prounlock`, non-consumable): export templates, batch
export, the watched-folder Library, and version history. A Sandbox Tester
account purchases it without a real charge; the badge in
**Preferences → Licence** flips to Pro immediately, with no restart.

To exercise batch export after purchase, point it at the `batch/` folder in this
pack — three small documents, exported in one pass.
